For academic faculty

ServiceTrack

Track your contributions. Build your case.

ServiceTrack turns the invisible hours of academic service into an organized, evidence-based record for tenure and promotion review. Committee work, mentoring, peer review, and everything in between, quietly documented and ready when you need it.

ServiceTrack is a web application for university faculty. It reads your Google Calendar with your permission, identifies academic service activities such as committee work, student mentoring, and peer review, and organizes them into a documented record you can use for tenure and promotion review.

How it works

From your calendar to a polished promotion case, in four steps.

Step 1

Connect your calendar

Grant read-only access to Google Calendar. We never modify or post to it.

Step 2

Auto-categorize

ServiceTrack classifies every event it read. Academic service becomes reviewable records, and events that duplicate activity already recorded are merged.

Step 3

Review and confirm

You approve every entry before it enters your record. Nothing is saved silently.

Step 4

Generate documents

Produce promotion cases and annual reviews from your confirmed record on demand.

Privacy first

Your data stays yours.

We built ServiceTrack for faculty, and we treat your data the way you would want it treated. No surprises, no silent collection, and no sharing beyond what you explicitly do.

  • Personal events are read, then deleted

To classify your calendar, ServiceTrack temporarily reads every event from the last 90 days. Events classified as non-service or personal are permanently deleted during categorization. You see that list once in a review dialog so you can add any of them to your record before it is gone.

  • Only you can see your data

Per-account isolation means other users cannot access your calendar or your service records.

  • Read-only calendar access

We can only read your calendar. We never create, edit, delete, or post anything on your behalf.

  • You confirm every entry

Nothing appears in your record until you review and approve it.
